This is footage of a storm that ravaged Busch Stadium, home of the 2006 World Series Champion, St. Louis Cardinals. This footage was from last year –2006, of course.
A very close friend of mine was at this game, and told me about it when he got back to Peoria.
That is some pretty wicked stuff! Poor lady! She gets crushed by the trash can, which was lifted by extremely powerful winds. I suppose this is one drawback to the openness of the new Busch Stadium.
I can remember going to the old stadium, and sweating my butt off, because there was such a lack of airflow. This is certainly not a problem now!
This reminds me of my days as a groundskeeper for the Peoria Chiefs. We saw some pretty hefty storms that season. That was a long time ago. Ah, the memories…
The new MLB season is only 20 days away! I can’t wait!
Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Don’t forget to get your fantasy baseball teams going. The season is near.
By the way, for those of you who don’t know –I am a die-hard St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Wow. You are heartachingly boring.
Thanks for sharing. I also want to thank you for linking to your much more exciting blog.
You wouldn’t happen to be a Cubs fan would you? That would certainly explain your boredom with baseball. To a Cardinals fan, baseball is anything but boring.
Wild stuff…
Power to the CARDINAL’s.
Wow… sounds like we agree on more things than one, Brent.
thelonedrifter is a Cardinals fan? Sweet!
I have been since I was a very young boy. My Dad is a Cardinals fan, and so was my Grandpa. My Uncles are fans..you get the point. My whole family, on both sides, are Cardinals fans.
Same here. Unfortunately my Dad doesn’t really pay much attention to sports anymore, though he got me into them. But I have successfully indoctrinated all of my younger brothers, and we are definitely FANatics.
Viva la Cardinal!
Yeah, can’t wait… season’s upon us!
Dodgers fan here (photos), but really think St. Louis is one of the best baseball towns around.
The Busch Stadium video reminds me of a 2005 brush fire at Dodger stadium 3rd of July fireworks show. Who says “baseball is safe” anyhow?
